As most of you probably know, we’ve had quite a time this month sorting through wheels falling off of our van, remembering the fallen, welcoming a new friend and playing some pretty amazing and rejuvenating shows!
Starting With Our Beloved R-2: A Eulogy
She was a good old van who never gave up and kept us safe until the very end, even in the face of destruction. A strong running 1996 Ford E-150, she will live on as a donor for other vehicles and continue down the road for years to come, in one form or another. We’ll always remember her for her quirks, squeaks, and most of all for her ability to get back up from what would kill lesser vans. Her transmission lines burst once but her transmission never gave way, her break lines burst but she held up and got us home, even her wheel fell off (No thanks to our mechanic…) but she still managed to get us off of to the side of the road knowing that she would be sent to the junk yard in just a matter of days, one way or the other. R-2 has rusted out but her spirit will always live on.
We think that’s a pretty good testimony for her, eh? Thanks, R-2, for your years of fine service!
We now have a new companion who we’ve decided to name Reginald! He’s a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 conversion and he’s in stellar shape for being on the road for 10 years. He has 84,000 miles and he’s ready for a lot of journeys to come! Check him out! Isn’t he handsome?
Super Awesome Shows
A lot of you came out to our shows at Club Cafe and Falls City Pub this past weekend and we just want to say, Thank You!! We had two of the best shows we’ve had in a long time and you all helped make that happen with all the great energy you brought with you.
This is what we dealt with… and we loved it. lol
